and the living is easy.
Everything has slowed down to a snails pace here at basilika towers.
Blame the heat, the world cup-who knows, every so often it’s just good to step away from shit to get some perspective, otherwise it can all get a bit stale.
There are some cool things that are bubbling up for the future and there is a couple of basilika gigs coming up in july-the first of which is 1st July at the elbow-which will be of the usual summer high standard.
In the meantime here is my top 7 basilika summer rockers;
1) the aliens-robot man-feels like the sound of now
2)dr octagon-al green(remix)-the freak is back and sounding heavy
3)christina/premo-pop with an edge-it’s all about those drums baby
4)quaid-feeling-deep heavy distorted dancefloor action in firemusic left sort of way.
5)jdilla/pharaoh monche-love-a stonecold summer anthem (welcome back monche)
6)thom yorke-eraser (basilika edit)-like the original (but with more drums)
7)chicago-beginnings-one from the crates but theme tune for a summer of changes.
