The Bold and the Beati-full

I’ve been asked by Chris (or ‘Philly Collins’ as he insists on being called these days) to try and refrain from using profanity and making smutty jokes from now on. It turns out that his mum is an avid basilika reader and he does want to offend her. Fair enough.
Problems arise however when it is quickly apparent that take away the smut and the midly inappropiate jokes basilika soon becomes an empty shell of dj injokes and self glorifying ‘reviews’ of yet another incredible basilika gig. So apologies to June-but, to quote a very wiseman, ‘a leopard can’t change it’s tights’.

Brubekk was in the house saturday and after a quiet start the night ended in trademarked basilika mayhem. Basically a continous stream of the best, deepest party music, expertly mixed and blended.(sort of). It was great playing with the bru again, his selection, as always, was first rate and totally unique. Thankfully the feared Rogersgate doomsday scenario was averted (kenny rocked) and bru’s heavyweight reggae tangent proved to be the night’s turning point.
Also dropping basilika anthem ‘earthshaker’ with the man himself in attendance was……special. Kind of like that bit in Private Benjiman when she finally makes it over the wall…..sorry, I’m getting all choked up now…..

I am pleased with you my boys.Oh and don’t forget you were going to get me a copy of that "EuroGaY" record you played.X
i always knew you big boys were that way inclined ‘musically’
Why do you have a cash machine next to you when you DJ? Is it to try and promt the manager to pay you, even though when i was there you sounded like a joke. It was like you were trying to copy me by not being able to mix and covering it up ‘by being cool’.
