Five 4 Oh Five
Picking just five tunes from the multitude is actually really
difficult. There have been loads of tunes that have rocked my world,
but often in very different contexts etc. Anyway for a variety of
reasons here are the five that stand out most in no particular order.
1-Tango Terge-Can’t Help It
Worked everywhere, from real musio crowds to drunken hen nights.
2-Brubekk-Earthshaker
Sort of overplayed this one now, but for a while there it represented a whole load of dreams becoming slightly more real.
3-Cdt-Frontin on Leroy (?)/CraigWilson edit
Same
as above pure basilika exclusive styles, which work everywhere yet you
won’t hear anywhere else (sort of). Also the sound of a dj coming into
his own.
4-Jackson 5-Body Language(Fat Camp edit)
Downloaded from the mighty DJH, months ago and is simple, classic banker.
5-Prince-Cindy C (Jaksoul’s basilika version)
Bit
of gratitious self love for the last one (I’ll go blind!), it was a
toss-up (not literally) between this an the supa-exclusive Moodymann
Private Dancer Bootleg (cheers illmeister), but this one is fresher and
is hopefully a little taster for the basilika sound of 06.
