Despite the fact we have been playing our own re-edits and basilika exclusives for over a year now, Friday was the first time someone came up and excitedly asked ‘what is this tune ?’ whilst we’ve playing one. 

Positive feedback !

The tune in question was brubekk’s mighty earthshaker which, as part of his ‘endless loops’ mini album has been rockin venues whenever we play. It’s a hiphop mashup in the vein of the excellent GAMM records and, in my humble opinion, is equal to the majority of their releases. It’s not really club ready as yet (some of those levels need easing off) but is a hint of great things to come from the ex-basilika, still-firemusic main man.

All this is also away of highlighting the fact that the firemusic site update is nearly finished and will not only feature individual artist pages but also the opportunity to download the ‘complete’ brubrekk back catalogue (well the good stuff) for the first time.
