Music and the spirit
In the spirit of keeping things FRESH (see below)-here is some exclusive basilika music.
I was having dinner with Russ a couple of weeks ago and he was playing me all this wicked off-beat gospel music. A few days later I was watching The Wire and felt the theme music-Tom Waits ‘Way down in the hole’, had a similiar vibe about it . I loved that the track had this really heavy gospel message and a dirty, gritty sound. It’s what I think gospel music should sound like: kind of broken and glorious at the same time.
Anyway, I thought I’d take the track and edit it in a way that would make it work when I’m playing out, and now it’s yours to hear.
