Friday was rocking.
Lots of good tunes etc. For about 2 hours we had a group of party-hardy tourists dancing infront of the booth (which is pretty rare for us). At one point they all started doing the conga, which kinda of ruined the ‘loft ‘79′ vibe we were trying to cultivate but fuck it at least they weren’t hassling us for ’salsa’ all night. The Illa was itching to challenge them all to a ‘jazz-dance-burn’ but lucky for their egos he managed to restrain himself.

We didn’t get the usual ‘have you got any r’n'b ?’ requests although some nutter asked for The Who (?) at one point which is a first. (I’m trying to think of a Who track that might go down but keep coming up blank-anyone ?)

All in all it was a good start to the basilika come-back gigs, next one April 1st.
