A Year in Review (Part 2)

Last post of the year from the basilika crew-it’s been a good year and there are lots of exciting things that we are planning for next year. Can’t give too much away but hiphop and november 5th are going to be two important features.
We are taking a couple of weeks to regroup and re-inspire. See […]

A Year in Review (Part 1)

Thanks to everyone who has checked out the site and the gigs this year. It has been cool to start something. Thursday is the last basilika of the year and to celebrate we are running a series of posts featuring the top ten for 2004 for all our dj’s, the first of which is the […]

Last night

Thursday was a good night. Bouyed by loads of people on office xmas parties, basilika finally got the crowd the music deserved.

Last night (I gave you my heart)

Thanks to everyone who made it down to the basilika christmas party last night.

Sambalanco test (w.i.p part3)

Here’s a little track in (very early) progress from me and brubeq (as in rhymes with quebec) aka the borough projects. It’s basically a loop taken from the sambalanco trio, hence the name and is kind of moody without really going anywhere. I’ve been tweaking it (and working on the track) for a couple of […]

Brubeq steps up

The following was written by Gilad Atzmon. I use it with kind permission, and believe it sums up how we at Basilika feel about things musicwise.
This is my first proper post (sort of) and I’ve had to change my name from brubeck because someone else is biting my style…from now on, on here at least, […]
